David S. Tabby, D.O., founded Optimum Neurology with an eye towards improving patient treatments in the area of his particular interests of multiple sclerosis and chronic migraines. He grew up in a family of medical professionals and has practiced in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania throughout his career.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Wyncote, David S. Tabby, D.O.’s, grandfather was a pharmacist, while his father was a family physician. In college, David S. Tabby, D.O., found Neurobiology and behavior particularly interesting and chose to pursue these specialties throughout his career.
David S. Tabby, D.O., graduated from Princeton University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, then went on to complete an internship at Metropolitan Parkview Hospital and a neurology residency at Jefferson University Hospital. He is licensed as a Pennsylvania Osteopathic Physician and has board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry.
After many years as an Associate Professor and researcher, during which time he published several peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter, along with smaller projects, David S. Tabby, D.O., entered private practice in 2014. He has been married to his wife, Sara, for more than thirty years. The pair has four children and two grandchildren.
David S. Tabby, D.O., has received numerous awards and recognition for his work as a teacher and a medical provider. From the Golden Apple award to being named a Top 10 teacher, he has also received Partner In Care recognition from the MS Society in Greater Philadelphia. Most recently, David S. Tabby, D.O., was honored in the Who’s Who of Notable Alumni.
